Two sisters visit their family home for one night. They are forced to confront their estranged relationship while waiting for their father to arrive.
A Place For Ashes is an award-winning film and Brianne's professional directorial debut. The film has been accepted into the Long Island International Film Expo, the NY Lift-Off Film Festival, and the NY Long Island Film Festival. It won the Audience Choice Award during the 2023 NY Lift-Off festival and Brianne was nominated for Best Director at the NYLIFF.
Featuring four filmmakers who picked up the Audience Choice Award from the New York Lift-Off Film Festival: Directing duo Brianne Neira and Melissa Ingle behind A Place For Ashes, director Malcolm Carter of COMPANY OF PROPHETS, and Douglas Corcoran director of Midwest Ice Age!
We discuss each film while they screen muted in the background, delving deep into the lessons learned by each artist as they tackled their award-winning projects.
